Sorbus is a contemporary boutique offering a stable of designers with global inspiration.
Featuring both stylish and functional clothing and footwear, we concentrate on selecting fine apparel from designers incorporating sustainable fabrics and manufacturing processes: wool, organic cotton, silk, hemp, bamboo and natural dyes are preferred.
As the design trade changes and accomodates a more particular clientele wanting eco-friendly choices, we are constantly looking to augment our showroom to give you, the seasoned shopper a unique selection of up and coming designers to chose from to compliment our more traditional brands.
Sorbus is owned and run by Simon and Sian Bates who moved with their two daughters, Elinor and Cathryn, to the Cape from London, England in 2004.
"Sorbus" is the Latin name for the Mountain Ash tree and Mountain Ash is the name of the village in Wales where Simon was born.
